As we start a brand new year, a lot of us, set and try to achieve new goals in life. The traditional new year’s resolutions are still an important part of our society today. A new year is like a fresh start to some and they want to make the best of it and strive for some kind of self-improvement. Whether it be to lose weight, work out, quit smoking, drinking or any other bad habit or addiction, we work hard to accomplish our goal. No, it’s not very easy, but it is very worthwhile. While some of us can go it alone and stay focused enough to reach our goals, others find success by surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals to accomplish their goals. Sort of like the old saying, “We’re in this together”, or “Misery loves company”, not unlike the frequent flyers of the Southern Regional Jail.
