Fall is right around the corner and, to some, can’t get here soon enough. Fall means different things to different people. Some can’t wait for football! Some are glad to get a break from the heat and really enjoy the cooler temperatures. Some enjoy the leaves changing colors and preserve their beauty with photographs. Some enjoy the harvesting of their crops and preserve them by canning and freezing. The hunters love Fall because that is when most game seasons begin and they get to enjoy their love of the outdoors and filling their freezers. While some really enjoy camping in the Fall, some just like having a big bonfire with family and friends. But, not only are our habits and daily doings affected by the changing of the season, so are the birds. Most will begin migrating to warmer climates by flying high upon the wind currents to escape the winter. But, there are a few exceptions. One of them is the Jail Bird, they can’t fly.
