On 09-22-2017 the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office assisted the United States Marshals Service in serving a federal warrant on Stone Street located off of Sand Branch Road. When Deputies and Marshals arrived the suspect, David Pfost, ran and barricaded himself in the attic of the residence. The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) responded to the residence. The suspect was removed from the attic by the SRT. The United States Marshals Service is handling the investigation.
