On 10-03-2017 the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) served a search warrant at the residence of Beecher Shuler located on Blue Jay Drive. The search warrant was a result of an investigation conducted by the Beckley-Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force. The task force had an arrest warrant on Shuler for the delivery of a controlled substance being methamphetamine. Shuler was located in the residence and taken into custody. During the execution of the search warrant law enforcement officers recovered pills, an amount of meth and three firearms. During transport to the Southern Regional Jail Shuler attempted to escape from the transport officer. Additional charges were filed against Shuler for the attempted escape. Shuler is currently in the Southern Regional Jail pending bond.
