On 9/13/2018 a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Briarwood Drive just behind the Shady Spring High School Football Stadium. The incident occurred during the 4th Quarter of the Independence vs. Shady Spring football game at approximately 9:30 pm. It is common practice for game film to be taken by coaches and staff as well as video taken by parents and relatives. The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from the public. Any person who captured the incident on video or who witnessed the collision is asked to come forward with any information regarding this incident. Please contact Sergeant J. L.
