On April 02, 2019 the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stephen Smith of Frontier Street in Beckley. Smith was charged with possession of material visually portraying a juvenile female engaged in sexually explicit conduct. This arrest came as a result of an investigation conducted by the RCSO Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Smith was taken to the Southern Regional Jail and later posted a $50,000 bond.
