The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Domestic Violence situation on Grear Lane in Stanaford on 4/21/2019 at approximately 9:15AM. The first arriving Deputies found an adult male subject in the act of striking a female outside the residence. They immediately stopped and secured him. Deputies then found a male suffering from severe injuries inside the residence.
The female died as a result of her injuries a short time later at BARH. The injured male was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown where he is in critical condition at this time.
The defendant has been charged with Murder and Malicious Wounding. He was lodged in SRJ pending arraignment. All involved parties were related to one another. No names will be released until after notification of family is complete.
